After the horrible Sag Harbor fire on December 16 destroyed their offices, the agents at Brown Harris Stevens have a new home, and it’s delightful: the Gingerbread House on Main Street.
BHS had to apply for a variance because the 2009 village code prohibits offices on the ground floor in the village business district, but given the circumstances, the variance was granted. BHS will occupy the space for a year, which should be enough time for the fire-damaged offices to be renovated.
The sweet Gingerbread House is one of the best-loved buildings in the village. It dates back to 1840.
