Bravo released the first trailer for their new Montauk-set reality show, Summer House, this week, and looks like it celebrates everything the people of Montauk are fighting to keep out of the once quiet fishing village. That said, if you remove last summer’s soon-to-be-famous renters, the show’s titular house is a lovely and serene place—and it’s available to rent for summer 2017.
Bravo has not rented the property for next summer and the owners, who tried to kick them out last summer, won’t be inviting them back to film a second season at this particular address.
The house is currently an open listing available to rent in summer 2017 for $165,000 seasonally (Memorial Day–Labor Day), $110 for June–July, $135,000 for July–Labor Day and $80,000 for August–Labor Day.
Located at 90 Napeague Harbor Road on the border of Napeague State Park and Hither Hills State Park in Napeague (not Montauk, as advertised on Bravo) the shingled Nantucket style home is surrounded on all sides with more than 600 acres of parkland and offers direct access to Napeague Harbor Bay and the walking dunes.
It has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and 4,500 square feet of living space on one secluded acre with rolling lawns. The first level has 3 en-suite guest bedrooms, and separate wing for either another guest or media/office room. Everything opens to an over 2,000-square-foot slated covered porch, and decking with outdoor stereo and gorgeous views—all overlooking the marble dusted heated infinity edge pool and arbor-laced stone outdoor shower. Just steps away is an enclosed 4 Season Spa.
Back inside, dramatic upper cathedral living areas are graced by antique beams, a fabulous imported marble chef’s kitchen with enormous center island counter seating for six, top of the line Wolf appliances, including counter cooktop, convection oven, warming drawer and a Fisher Paykel dual drawer dishwasher, to name a few. The living room features an inviting stone fireplace, flat screen TV and sliders leading out to a sunroom, generous decking, outdoor grilling/kitchen area and motorized screened sunset gazebo. The upper master suite has its own laundry and dressing room, radiant heated floors and stunning beach stone shower. The house also includes a 2-car garage and, surely, some serious mojo, and possible residue, leftover from last season’s Summer House gang.
