Behind The Hedges just dropped its Labor Day 2021 issue, our third stand-alone magazine this summer.
A few weeks ago, the temperature cooled and the days began to shorten. The tents had been raised on the grounds of the Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton. All this signals the end of the season for me. I spent my childhood summers in the saddle, capping them off showing in the Classic — the photo above is me at age 9.
I’ve seen firsthand how many farm fields have disappeared over the years, but many equestrian properties remain. This issue is our nod to a favorite sport and leisure-time activity on the East End.
Check out “The Last Buck Ranch,” home to animal advocate and television host Jill Rappaport in the pages of this magazine. About a dozen East End equestrian properties are on the market, some featured in this issue, including a property where I spent my teen years on.
This issue leaps into fall with some forecasts of not only the market here in the Hamptons, but New York City and Florida. As summer 2021 closes, remember you can keep up with East End real estate by visiting us at behindthehedges.com and finding our monthly magazine in Dan’s Papers.
