Hampton Coffee Opens in Center Moriches
Hampton Coffee Company recently opened a location in Center Moriches, its sixth café and its first location in the Town of Brookhaven. The Southampton-based company, now in its 27th year, partnered with the Center Moriches Free Library, which wanted to create a coffee bar experience inside the library, according to Hampton Coffee Company. The new café is located at the front of the library at 235 Montauk Highway.
“We were so proud that we were selected by the library board to help design and operate their café,” said Hampton Coffee Company co-owner Jason Belkin, in a statement. “We were looking to open in Center Moriches for some time. It’s such an amazing community and we kept hearing it was missing a local coffee place.”
When the library is open, guests can enjoy a space between the library and the café that opens into a lounge with a fireplace. There is a couch and worktable seating, as well as a long bar with stools in the café that offer power outlets, in addition to the store’s free Wifi. Guests can bring in their Hampton Coffee food and drinks and enjoy comfy couch and worktable seating. There is also a long stool bar in the café with power outlets and free Wi-Fi. As the weather gets warmer, there will be outside seating too that is pet-friendly.
The company’s westernmost outpost, it features the same full breakfast, lunch and dessert menu as the other Hampton Coffees, located in Westhampton Beach, Southampton, Water Mill, Aquebogue and Montauk.
Bakery items are baked on premises each morning with gluten-free and vegan options available. Coffee will arrive freshly roasted from Hampton Coffee Company’s roastery in Southampton. The Hampton Coffee Company app allows customers to order ahead and pick up their orders just inside the front door.
“We’re so proud of how the community has come out to support our new café,” said Theresa Belkin, a co-owner, added in the statement. “Everyone who works here including me lives within 15 minutes of the store, many can even walk here. It’s great to be able to offer quality jobs to local students.”
The Center Moriches location is open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Mala Sander+Team Swag
Just in time for spring, Mala Sander+Team at Corcoran has created a line of hats with Sag Harbor’s own Sunswell that features a beach plum graphic as part of its branding efforts (They also recently launched a new website).
As part of this fun collaboration, they hope that beach plum graphic will become for the Hamptons something like the hibiscus flower is for Nantucket, reports Maxwell Labadie, the team’s marketing director.
Where can you get them? That’s the best part, Labadie said, “If anyone wants one, all they have to do is ask!” he said.
