Hampton Bays real estate, in our opinion, is only going to go up. The hamlet is becoming more and more popular, with swanky new developments like Ponquogue Point and popular higher-end restaurants. And now one of the better known businesses is for sale. The Inn Spot on the Bay is well located (on the, um, bay) and right by the Ponquogue Bridge leading to ocean beaches. It’s a quirky, charming hostelry and restaurant. Listed for $4.75 million by Gloria Joseph and Lawrence Ingolia at Sotheby’s, there’s just under an acre of land with 140 feet of bulkheaded waterfront and a 125-foot dock.
The property features a 13-room inn (originally built in 1857) with restaurant and bar. There are also adorable guest bungalows and staff quarters. Price seems about right for just about a bayfront acre with dock; the only pity is that there isn’t room for a pool.
