On the heels of launching the high-end brokerage OFFICIAL, powerhouse brokers Tal and Oren Alexander have officially welcomed their colleague Sara Sandler Goldfarb to join their new brokerage.
Goldfarb had worked on the Alexander Team at Douglas Elliman. She announced her departure for the brothers’ latest endeavor earlier this week.
“I felt then, and continue to feel today, immensely fortunate to build a team alongside them. It’s incredible to reflect on what we have built — an unparalleled brand at the highest end of the market and the #1 Team in the nation,” she says. “We reached this milestone by setting higher goals and working harder and smarter after every broken record and award,” she continues. “All of this brings us to this exciting moment of launching our own firm OFFICIAL.”
A native New Yorker, Goldfarb first began her career in real estate working for Farrell Building Company on the South Fork, before joining the Alexander Team at Douglas Elliman, overseeing all marketing programs for the team’s portfolio across New York City, the Hamptons and Miami
“It was clear, almost immediately, that these powerhouse brothers were creating a one-of-a-kind business,” Goldfarb says in her announcement.
By January of 2020, she became a full-time agent working in the Hamptons, as she lives in Sag Harbor. Within two years, she facilitated over $200 million in sales, including a $30 million sellout of Gurney’s Residences in Montauk and the sale of Joe Farrell’s famed “Sandcastle” home in Bridgehampton.
The Alexander Team became Douglas Elliman’s number three team in the Hamptons, and the number one sales team by volume in the country three years in a row, according to The Wall Street Journal/RealTrends.
OFFICIAL Standard
OFFICIAL, launched last month, is now operating in New York, Miami and the Hamptons with plans to launch in new markets, including Aspen and additional South Florida locations.
Among Goldfarb’s listings at OFFICIAL is 636 North Sea-Mecox Road in Southampton, a 7,500-square-foot post-modern, custom-built home listed for $9 million. The home sits on 1.6 acres that are surrounded by more than 50 acres of protected agricultural reserve.
Goldfarb has also listed an equestrian compound, between Bridgehampton and Water Mill, for $16 million after selling it to the current owner in 2021.
“We selected the name OFFICIAL because it is synonymous with the benchmark achievements we are recognized for at the highest end of the global market,” according to Oren Alexander’s statement in June. “We are a trusted authority in this business and together with only the best agents and teams in the country, we will set a new OFFICIAL standard for the industry.”
The Alexanders have completed more than $7 billion in sales in the course of their careers, including $1.8 billion in 2021 alone. They have overseen some impressive record-breaking transactions, such as the most expensive residential sale in the history in the country — a $240 million penthouse in New York — as well as a $122 million London townhouse, and the most expensive residential sale in Aspen, a $72 million 11-bedroom compound.
“In our superprime markets, OFFICIAL teams will have transacted at least $1 billion in their careers,” says Oren Alexander. “At that level, we are all one to two degrees away from the clients our business is built around. You will never be handed an OFFICIAL business card from someone who is not at the very top of their game in their home market,” he adds.
The Alexanders hired Side to support the brokerage with tools and services, including proprietary transaction management technology, legal support, and business guidance — streamlining back-office administration so that OFFICIAL agents have more time to spend serving their clients.
