This house just whispers “quintessential Hamptons.” It’s made for long summer days with glasses of lemonade and games of badminton.
On Egypt Close, the property (repped by Gary DePersia of Corcoran) is south of the highway yet close enough to walk to everything East Hampton has to offer. What we particularly like about it is that it’s spacious yet not enormous. There’s 4700 square feet, with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths, set on an acre of land. Particularly nice is the kitchen, which again is generously sized but not cavernous and recently redone with white marble; the great room has a tall, beamed ceiling, and the master has a sitting area with fireplace. Not enough space? The lower level is partially finished, so there’s more room if desired.
The house is in a lovely traditional style; there’s a darling portico to the garage and a dining pergola that overlooks the pool. There’s even a basketball half-court for when you tire of badminton.
