We originally thought this soundview new build, on Kettle Hole Road in Montauk, had kind of an odd, ungainly facade, but it’s growing on us. We like the shingles and simple-black framed windows; we’re not a fan of what we privately call “guard tower architecture,” but this is much more appealing than most.
The interiors are really homey and yet stylish, or will be once they’re finished. There is the usual simple white typical of the Hamptons, but the wooden ceilings and timber kitchen island elevate the look. Plus it seems as though many of the rooms will have a water view.
Said water view is of course best on the roof deck. The details for the listing, repped by Chris Coleman at Saunders, are as follows: four bedrooms, 3.5 baths in 3700 square feet. 0.78 of an acre will include a pool and two-car garage.
The only issue we have is the price: $4.8 million strikes us as too high. What do you think?
