After more than two years on and off the market, Susan Lucci has reportedly gone into contract to sell her palatial East Quogue oceanfront home, Four Winds, for just shy of $20 million, according to Page Six.
Lucci first listed the 7-bedroom, 7-bath, shingle-style home at 20 Dune Road with Douglas Elliman power broker Enzo Morabito for $19.9 million in the summer of 2014 and, apparently, never budged much from the asking price. The recent sale, however, according to a representative from Douglas Elliman, was not through Morabito or the firm.
At the time, Morabito said Four Winds was on “one of the most desirable stretches of Dune Road in Quogue—between the bridges.”
Morabito told DansPapers.com that one of Lucci’s favorite things to do while staying at her house in the Hamptons was to “walk down to the beach with a cup of morning coffee in her hand.”
The house, which also overlooks Quogue Canal, features a covered porch on the second floor, lots of nautical design inspiration, and 10,622 square feet of living space. It was designed by Hamptons architect Eugene Futterman and built in 1989. It has spectacular views and numerous decks and balconies to take advantage of them. A two-story living room offers a fireplace with ocean views, and the two-story turreted library has built-in seating and wood paneling. It also includes a billiards room with bar, media room and very desirable widow’s walk above the living room for the ultimate 360-degree vistas. The grounds comprise 1.4 acres with a heated gunite swimming pool and 160 feet of ocean frontage.
Clearly taken by Four Winds‘ beauty in 2014, Morabito said, “Simply put, it’s one of the most special properties I have ever had the privilege of selling.”
Apparently, the unnamed buyer agrees.
