Usually in our posts, we put the location of a property in the title. This property, however, is in one of those odd no-man’s lands that happen in the Hamptons. The listing says Sagaponack, but it’s not really Sagaponack. We thought it might be Bridgehampton, but it’s not that either. The postal address is Sag Harbor, but it’s fairly far from Sag Harbor. Wherever it is, it really is homey, private, and feature-laden, however!
Some of the nice features include a plethora of stone fireplaces, including one in the master bedroom and one outdoors, two laundry rooms, a home theater, gym, and games area, a tennis court, outdoor kitchen and a lovely freeform pool with spa. In all, there are 3.5 acres of grounds. The house is 6000 square feet with six bedrooms and 6.5 baths. We especially like how the house is filled with personality but it’s all in good taste, and the bookshelves are full of, get this, actual books instead of tchotchkes.
If all this appeals to you as well, get in touch with Angela Boyer-Stump and Neil G. Hausig at Sotheby’s. Who cares what town it’s in when you’re relaxing on that porch.
