Once again, we’re in the wrong business. Turns out if you’re a well-connected lobbyist, you can pull in a sweet $10 million a year from Russian oligarchs. According to the AP, Paul Manafort, the former head of the Trump campaign, had a lucrative contract with Russian aluminum tycoon Oleg Deripaska to “influence politics, business dealings and news coverage inside the United States, Europe and former Soviet republics to benefit President Vladimir Putin’s government.” (Confidential to Mr. Putin: coughyoucanbuymeforalotlessvladimircough)
With all that cash flowing in, the Manaforts were able to assemble a pretty amazing property portfolio, including a condo in Trump Tower, a loft in SoHo, a Brooklyn brownstone, an apartment in Alexandria, Virginia, a little pad in Palm Beach Gardens, and this property in Water Mill off Jobs Lane.
According to Property Shark, there’s 2.37 acres of land, which includes a 5500 square foot house, with 10 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. There’s obviously a tennis court, pool, spa, pool house, half court, formal gardens and a putting green. There are views over farm fields to the north, and the property is near Mecox Bay but not waterfront. We’d suggest a value of about $8 million for the property.
