This beach house offers everything you could want: gorgeous, sweeping ocean views, a pool, a fire pit, and a cute ranch house. The cottage is a petite 1500 square feet, but it’s been nicely updated with two newer bathrooms and a nice kitchen. There’s lots of decking for relaxing and eating outside, facing the ocean, as well as a pool. The listing says the property offers deeded ocean access, which is a nice plus. Asking price for the property, represented by Michael Schultz and Susan Ryan at Corcoran, is $3.5 million.
The downside is that the property borders the Beach Plum and the Breakers, which the owner has to walk past to get to the beach. On the plus side, it’s an easy walk to town.
We’re kind of torn about the price, though. Properties on Old Montauk Highway that aren’t next to motels with older, possibly teardown homes have sold for about $3 million; granted, though, they don’t offer 1.7 acres, which is a good bit of land. When we’re torn, it probably means the price is about right. What do you say?
