An East Hampton building has been sold for $28 million in what is being called the largest sale within any village business district on the East End.

New homes or those recently renovated remain in demand this spring on the North Fork real estate scene.

The Atterbury Estate in Southampton Village, which underwent a massive renovation, sold late last month to a power couple for $32.2 million. 

John Scott “JT’ Thomas and Robert Stearns of Brown Harris Stevens had the listing for the home, which has stellar views over Sag Harbor Cove. 

What’s moving on the Hamptons sales market, from an equestrian estate in East Hampton to oceanfront property in Amagansett.

Helmut Lang, the Austrian designer and artist best known for his minimalist, deconstructive fashions in the 1990s, sold his oceanfront estate.

An East Hampton equestrian estate, totaling more than 20 acres, sold in two deals, for a combined $22.5 million, on April 29.

Sources say the Sagaponack parcels including one on the ocean, traded for $46.5 million — well under 5% off the asking price. 

After several years on the market, a modern home on 4.5 oceanfront acres in Southampton sold late last month for $16.4 million. 

The Boardy Barn, known for its flowing beer and clientele that spilled out under the striped tent, had been listed for sale in the fall.
